Hungarian Interest – Challenges of UN’s Global Compact for Migration
On March 1st, 2018, at a conference called “Hungarian Interest – Challenges of UN’s Global Compact for Migration”, organized by the Századvég Foundation, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade presented the Government’s 12-point proposal on the UN’s migration compact. Zsolt Barthel-Rúzsa, President of the Századvég Foundation greeted the guests of the conference, and then Prof. Miklós Maróth held a presentation on the challenges of multiculturalism. Balázs Orbán, Director General of the Migration Research Institute had a presentation on the Compact’s catalyzing effects on migration. Bianka Speidl, Senior Researcher of the Migration Research Institute also participated in the roundtable-discussion organized after the presentations.
