Due to the protracted economic and political crisis, almost half of the Algerian youth want to emigrate to Europe. Most arrivals in Spain this year came from Algeria. At the same time, 42% of the approximately 100.000 illegal migrants in Algeria would remain in the country, if the economic situation made it possible. However, the pandemic has exacerbated the situation, said Spield Bianka, senior researcher at Migration Research Institute on M1 TV.
