If Turkey will not want to, or will not be able to stop migrants and asylum-seekers fleeing Afghanistan, then the situation at the south-eastern borders of the EU might turn dire during the autumn. Greece already announced that it will not be again the ‘gatekeeper’ of Europe like it was in 2015. The country also asked for the help of other EU states.
