Following the European Council’s decision on the EU budget, interinstitutional and likely protracted negotiations will take place between the European Council, the Parliament and the Commission. The Heads of Government, of course, counted on stoppages in the process. Since the very beginning, the history of the European Parliament has been characterized by series of negotiations loaded with similar demonstrations of power and prestige rivalries, said Norbert Tóth, international lawyer and senior researcher of the Migration Research Institute, on Kossuth Radio.
