Kristóf György Veres

Kristóf György Veres obtained his Philologist in history (BA) diploma in 2014 at the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University. Subsequently he graduated at the master’s level as an archivist in 2016. The same year he continued his studies at the Auxiliary Sciences of History PhD program as a Hungarian state scholarship holder. He defended his PhD dissertation summa cum laude in February 2021. During his career he has given conference presentations in English, French and Hungarian, his papers and reviews have been published in anthologies as well as in Hungarian national academic journals. His research was supported by various grants most notably the Scholarship of the Republic, and the New Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities. Kristóf György Veres joined the Migration Research Institute in March 2021, his main research areas focus on government history, the auxiliary sciences of history, as well as on the interaction between migration, integration and state power in the US and France.
